About the role

Here’s a unique opportunity to support the mission of the Church in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, through combining your skills in administrative governance, legal coordination, program management and records management. You’ll be working in a vibrant, authentic and dynamic team to support diocesan parishes, schools and agencies in providing proactive and intuitive administrative support to the Risk, Governance & Compliance team. This is a fantastic administrative level position for someone looking to work in the Risk and Compliance space.

This position will provide a high level of administrative, governance and records management support to the Diocesan Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance. Working with multiple stakeholders you will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality administrative support and compliance services in line with Diocesan and Chancery policies and procedures. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work and support various initiatives and projects.  

In the spirit of collaboration, this position will partner closely with Parishes and other Diocesan agencies.

Specifically, as the successful candidate you will ideally meet the following Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in roles where attention to detail is required e.g., minute and note taking.
  • A demonstrated understanding and preparedness to commit to the ethos and values of the Diocese of Parramatta and the Catholic Church.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administration and executive support and assistance to senior level management.
  • A demonstrated ability to comply with and follow predefined administration policies and systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • A demonstrated commitment to stakeholder management.
  • Previous experience in roles which require time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary administrative and support services practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands and priorities.
  • High level computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office suite competently.
  • Accurate and efficient data processing skills.
