FreePlease join us for a special prayer service to commemorate the lives of people who have died while experiencing homelessness.
For the first time, a Homeless Memorial Service will be held at the Forecourt steps of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta on Friday 21 June at 5:30 PM.
The winter solstice occurs on 21 June, making it the longest night of the year. As darkness falls early and the temperature drops sharply, we will commemorate those who have died silently, unnamed and unmourned on the streets of Parramatta and Western Sydney.
The Service is being supported by a number of charities and community organisations, St Patrick’s Cathedral, St Vincent de Paul, Thread Together, Wesley Mission, the Anglican Church, and Uniting Church.
