Celebrate the Feast of Christ the King and the commissioning of youth leaders and ACYF pilgrims

The Diocese of Parramatta will join the Australian Church for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) in Melbourne from 30 November to 3 December 2025!

Ahead of this national gathering, all are invited to our fourth Formation Evening and Pilgrim Commissioning Mass on Sunday 23 November, 4–7pm at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta (Mass begins at 6pm).

We warmly invite all parish Youth Ministry Leaders to this special Diocesan celebration of the Feast of Christ the King.

In 2021, Pope Francis designated this feast as the global day of celebration for World Youth Day, recognising the unique and vital role of young people in the life and mission of the Church. Each year, this celebration brings our Diocesan community together to honour Christ’s kingship and to renew our shared commitment to walking with young people in faith and hope.

This year’s Mass will include a special commissioning rite for all Youth Ministry Leaders, incoming Year 12 School Leaders, and Diocese of Parramatta pilgrims preparing to attend ACYF in Melbourne.

We encourage all parish and school youth leaders to take part in this moment of commissioning and blessing.
