Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2025 (ACYF)

The Diocese of Parramatta will be joining the Australian Church at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) in Melbourne from 30 November to 3 December 2025!

What is ACYF?

ACYF is a national gathering of Catholic young people established by the Australian Bishops over a decade ago. Taking place over three days, the Festival offers young people from all across Australia the chance to come together, deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to live their faith in the world, and experience the richness of the Church in Australia.

This incredible event will bring together thousands of young people (Year 9 – 25 years of age) for opportunities to connect with others, engage with school and youth groups, interact with Bishops, musicians, and speakers, and celebrate the joy of faith.

What to expect at ACYF

Join thousands of young Catholics from across Australia for an unforgettable event featuring inspiring guest speakers, artists, and musicians. Engage in workshops, explore interactive expo stalls, and celebrate Daily Mass while participating in the sacraments. Enjoy live music and a vibrant atmosphere of faith, community, and joy, much like World Youth Day, which fosters cultural exchange, music, and shared experiences of friendship and faith.

Pilgrimage to Melbourne

In 2025, Participants will journey to Melbourne, the host city for ACYF 2025! The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne is set to welcome thousands of young people from schools, parishes and communities from across Australia, alongside international guest speakers, performers and expo stall holders!

Opening Ceremony, Workshops and Expo Stalls

The Australian Catholic Youth Festival kicks off with an opening ceremony that will unveil key festival highlights and set the tone for the exciting three-day event ahead.

Bishops, priests, and lay experts will lead dynamic workshops that introduce young people to important faith topics, offer opportunities to connect with other young Catholics, and help develop skills for local ministry. Whilst local artists will host exciting expo stalls featuring various Catholic artworks and resources, providing attendees with a chance to explore opportunities for involvement and further learning.
