This special evening will feature our guest speaker Dr Michele Connolly RSJ, who will offer a reflection on the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church today. Come be renewed, inspired, and sent forth by the power of the Spirit. All are welcome!
Dr Michele Connolly is a Biblical Scholar and lecturer at the Catholic Institute of Sydney. She was also one of the expert advisors (periti) for the first Synod in the Diocese of Parramatta.
Dr Connolly is a religious sister of St Joseph who lectures on Biblical Studies at the Catholic Institute of Sydney (CIS), having also served there as Academic Dean from 2006 to 2017. She holds qualifications in Scripture, Theology and Education, having studied at Chicago’s Catholic Theological Union (CTU) and completing her PhD in the New Testament at the Graduate Theology Union (GTU), Berkeley, California. Her areas of research interest include Gospel of Mark, Pauline Letters, Feminist and Postcolonial Criticism, Literary Criticism.
