Your generosity and love ensure our ageing priests receive the care, comfort, and dignity they deserve during their retirement.
“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.”
thessalonians 5:12-13
Your impact
The last few months have been very hard. I’ve been a priest for 45 years. During those years, I had constant contact with people I lived with and supported. I shared their lives. I ministered to them. Now that’s all come to an end. My life has changed totally.
I’m so grateful for the support of the Clergy Support Foundation. They care for my health. If I need any assistance, they come straight away. They take me to all my appointments and visited me when I was in hospital. They look after my medications for me. In truth, I don’t know what I’d do without them.
To all of you wonderful parishioners, I thank you very sincerely for all the help in response to this Father’s Day Appeal.
The retired priests have given many years of their life to you. And on behalf of them all, I thank you very sincerely for your help and your donations.
People are struggling today. The cost of living is very high. And so, when you make that sacrifice, and give an offering towards priests for our retirement, I thank you from the heart. I’m very grateful for your love and care.
Thank you very much everybody.
Fr John Goulding, retired priest
Thank you from Monsignor John Boyle
One of the things that the Father’s Day Appeal does for me personally is giving me the opportunity of saying to you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your generosity in this appeal.
It brings out a huge sense of gratitude in me, that we’re able to live in this comfortable place and have people who come to make sure we’re safe and well.
I am always astounded by the generosity of Catholics in looking after the retired priests or the priests on lesser duties. So, it’s a good opportunity for me to say thank you for that.
Monsignor John Boyle, retired priest.
Thank you from Peter
It’s such a privilege for me to be able to work in the role that I’m currently in, and it’s only made possible by your support.
I really want to thank you for the contributions that you’ve made to the Clergy Support Foundation. It means a lot to me, and it means so much to the retired priests.
Peter Noone, Clergy Health and Wellbeing Coordinator.
Thank you from Bishop Vincent
I am truly grateful for your compassion for our retired priests and clergy in ill‐health.
Our faithful priests have given their lives in service for our Catholic community.
Even in their golden years, they continue to embody their priestly vocations, as good shepherds and servants of the Gospel.
Thanks to your generosity, they can enjoy a well‐deserved, dignified, and spiritually-fulfilling retirement.
Your compassionate support provides for our retired priests’ daily living needs, health care, and medical expenses along with home comforts and essentials for living well.
Thank you for standing by our retired priests, and for making sure there is always someone to care for them, just as they have cared for us.
