Welcome to the Diocese of Parramatta’s Early Years Education and Care service

The Diocese of Parramatta offers high quality children’s services in a Catholic environment across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

We operate school age care provided through COSHC (before/after school care, vacation care, pupil free day care for primary school age children) and early years education provided through CELC (pre-school for ages 3-5 years in traditional 8am-4pm and extended hours [6am – 6:30pm] format.)

At COSHC, Vacation Care is all about having FUN!
Our team is passionate about creating programs that children love and experiences they will remember. We offer theme days, have special guests running activities and provide exciting excursions.

No two days are the same and our activities are endless – children could be bowling, visiting a theme park, rock climbing, cooking, gardening, bike riding or on a treasure hunt. But regardless of the activity, parents can have peace of mind their children are having fun in a caring environment that is fully supervised and follows a COVID safety plan.

Everyone is welcome
Our vacation care programs are open to all primary school students from any school. And we love welcoming children from different schools as it is a great way to make new friends!

Message from Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv

Dear friends and colleagues in ministry,
I am delighted to announce that the Diocese of Parramatta will soon be expanding the pastoral outreach of our parish and school communities, through the creation of a new diocesan agency, Catholic Diocese of Parramatta Services Limited (CDPSL).
This expanded pastoral outreach will include, but not be limited to: a system of Catholic early childhood services; providing social enterprise services; and undertaking any other services related to these activities.
CDPSL will be mandated with expanding our mission to serve the people of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains by providing a range of services that support the needs of families with young children.
CDPSL will have its own Chief Executive Officer and its own board. Both will operate with the mandatory corporate and risk governance and will be accountable to myself. CDPSL is expected to be operational from early 2020.
The existing Early Learning and Care Services team of Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta – consisting of Catholic Out of School Hours Care, Catholic Early Learning Centres (Preschools and St Luke’s) - will transition into the newly-established CDPSL over the coming months.
I am particularly thankful to Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta, especially Mark Holyoake (Director Enterprise) and Angela Machado (Head Early Learning and Care Services) and the entire Early Learning and Care Services team.
Mark, Angela and Early Learning and Care Services have shown far-sighted commitment and dedication in establishing and running Early Learning and Care Services for many years now.
New Chief Executive Officer
I have appointed Anthony Goonan as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of CDPSL. Anthony is a parishioner at the Parish of Baulkham Hills and is a former Telstra executive. Anthony has significant education and corporate experience.
Initially, Anthony, along with Mark and Angela and their team will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of the Early Learning and Care Services team to CDPSL.
Please join me in welcoming Anthony to his new role. I look forward to working with him and CDPSL.
Yours fraternally in Christ,
Most Reverend Vincent Long Van Ngyen OFM Conv
Bishop of Parramatta
