Multicultural Chaplaincy

Filipino Chaplaincy

One of the biggest migrant Catholic communities in the Diocese of Parramatta is our vibrant Filipino Catholic Community, with their deep faith, rich traditions and strong sense of unity. Across the Diocese, there are various services and events, including special Filipino Masses.

For those seeking a Mass in Tagalog, there are regular Filipino Masses to provide an opportunity for the Filipino Catholic community to worship in their native language, fostering a deeper connection to their faith. These services are not just about language; they are a celebration of Filipino culture and tradition, with music and prayers that resonate with the Filipino heart.

Key days of celebration in the Filipino Catholic community include the feast of patron saint of the Philippines, San Lorenzo Ruiz, as well as the feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, and ‘Santo Niño’ (Holy Child Jesus).
