Multicultural Chaplaincy

Italian Community

The Italian Catholic community has a long-standing history in the Diocese of Parramatta. This community is deeply rooted in its faith, with a strong emphasis on family values, tradition, and communal worship. Italian-language masses are regularly conducted, allowing parishioners to worship in their native tongue and connect with their cultural heritage. These masses are often accompanied by traditional hymns and liturgical practices that have been passed down through generations, providing a spiritual link to the homeland.

Key days of celebration in the Italian Catholic community include the feasts of Saint Francis of Assisi and St Catherine of Siena, patron saints of Italy. These gatherings not only strengthen the bonds within the community but also enrich the spiritual life of the entire Diocese.

We invite all members of the Italian-speaking community to join us in worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luddenham.
