Founded in Vietnam by Bishop Pierre Lambert de la Motte (MEP) in 1670 as Lovers of the Cross and re-establised in 1953 by Bishop Peter Maria Pham Ngoc Chi under the same name. In 1966 it changed its name to Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the World. Introduced to Australia in Sydney in 1975 and established as an Institute of Diocesan Right on 8th December 2013.
