Sisters of Mercy RSM Parramatta

The Sisters of Mercy were founded in Dublin, Ireland in 1831 by Catherine McAuley. The Parramatta foundation of the Sisters of Mercy began in 1888 when nine sisters arrived in Parramatta from Callan, Ireland. Our Mercy Charism is to be bearers of Mercy – we open ourselves to receive mercy, trust that God can be mercy to others as we search the meaning of God’s choice of those who are poor.
