Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and respectful Parish Cook to join our team at St. Patrick’s Parish. This part-time role involves preparing daily meals for our clergy, as well as managing kitchen cleanliness and assisting with occasional weekend functions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, uphold high standards of hygiene, and respect the teachings of the Church.

Location: St. Patrick’s Parish, Parramatta

Hours: 15 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm)

Responsibilities

  • Cook meals for the clergy three days a week
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness to a high standard.
  • Assist with food preparation for weekend and special functions as required. Manage pantry inventory and kitchen supplies.
  • Comply with food handling and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Respect for the teachings and values of the Catholic Church. Proven experience in a cooking or culinary role.
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety standards.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
