I have a right to feel safe!

What’s OK?

I have a right to:

  • feel safe all the time
  • play and work with others in a group
  • be with adults who are responsible to keep me safe

‘What makes me feel safe is a peaceful place with the sun shining so you can pray and feel happy.’ – Tuil

What’s Not OK?

I don’t feel safe when:

  • someone plays rough
  • when a family friend wants to be alone with me
  • when a coach swears at me
  • when a church helper asks me to stay after everyone else has left

‘Not spending time with God separates us from each other.’ – Angela

‘A space that I feel peaceful and safe – growing my relationship with God.’ – Ruby

What can I do?

It’s OK for me to say “NO”!

It’s OK for me to tell a safe adult.

It’s OK and important for me to tell the truth.
