The Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS), also known as the Fransalians, was founded in France in 1838 by Fr. Peter Mermier under the patronage of St. Francis de Sales whose desire was to found a society of missionary priests. The charism is the renewing of parish life and education of the youth. With our Lady of Sorrows (Compassion) as the patroness, the members are engaged with apostolic mission around the world.
