Multicultural Chaplaincy

Vietnamese Community

The Diocese of Parramatta is proud to be home to a thriving Vietnamese Catholic community, reflecting the diverse and multicultural identity of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Our parishes and pastoral initiatives honour Vietnamese traditions, providing opportunities to worship, connect, and grow in faith while celebrating your rich cultural heritage.

Where to Find Vietnamese Mass

Several parishes across the Diocese of Parramatta hold Mass in Vietnamese, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring the spiritual needs of the Vietnamese faithful are met. These parishes offer a welcoming environment where you can participate in liturgies, community events, and sacramental programs conducted in your heart language. Vietnamese Mass services are currently running at the following churches:

  • The Good Shepherd Catholic Church Plumpton – Sunday, 12.00pm
  • Holy Trinity Catholic Church Granville – Thursday, 7.00pm and Sunday, 5.00pm
